She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, a Fellow & Faculty of the Misch International Implant Institute, and a Recognized Kois Center Specialist. She is currently the President of the Russell Bunting Periodontal Society and an active member of many dental organizations. Dr. Misch is a Dean's Faculty in the Periodontal Department at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. She has written publications in reputable periodontal and implant journals, as well as lectures on topics such as dental implants, surgical complications, bone grafting, etc. She has received numerous awards including Dr. & Mrs. Gerald Kramer Award for Excellence (2008 nominee), the Billy A. Smith Patient Rapport Award (2007), the Academy of Osseointegration Outstanding Dental Student Award in Implant Dentistry (2005) and the Russell Bunting Periodontal Study Club Award (2005).
